Congratulations!! We are excited to celebrate your accomplishment!!
Even though we cannot congratulate you in person, we are very committed to creating a memorable event for you and your loved ones!
Here is what you need to know about your virtual commencement:
Link to the virtual commencement ceremony: https://scu.sharedstudios.events/ Right now, you will see a countdown window. On April 23rd at 4:50 pm (ten minutes prior to the premier at 5pm), you will see a live chat box, order of ceremony, and a couple other neat features.
What should I expect on premiere day? On April 23rd at 5 pm PST, a pre-recorded commencement video will begin playing. You name will be called, and you will recite your program's oath. We recommend dressing in your regalia. The website can be viewed on any device including a computer and cell phone. What is the registration button on the website ? If you or your family and friends would like to participate in a live chat, you must register your name, valid email address (does not have to be SCU email), and unique password. You will receive a verification email to complete your registration. Do not forget your password! The chat feature provides an opportunity for you to interact with others during the ceremony. Once the premiere has concluded, the chat feature will turn off, but you can still view the commencement video as many times as you like! If you do not want to participate in the live chat, you do not have to register. Simply wait for the countdown window to switch to the live window at 4:50 pm. Will I have a commencement program as a keepsake? Yes! You can download your official commencement program on the day of the premiere. The program will be located at the bottom of the commencement website.
Can I still order graduation announcements? Yes! Graduation announcements can be purchased through Herff Jones. Click on this link and select ‘Southern California University of Health Sciences’ in the search box: https://collegegrad.herffjones.com/ I cannot attend the premiere, what should I do? The pre-recorded commencement video will be available until mid-summer. This means you and your guests can watch your commencement video as many times as you like, whenever you like, and wherever you like! The chat feature will not be available after premiere day. Will my name be announced? Yes! Your name will be announced with your picture + quote, if you submitted one, during the virtual ceremony.
